Description
If you've never seen a Centaur, the sight of one might scare you. They are men with human arms, but instead of legs, they have the body of a horse with four legs. Some ancient writers believed they ate meat, while others maintained they ate grass like horses, because their stomachs were in the part of their bodies that resembled a horse. In the houses of Pompeii, there are many Centaurs painted on the walls, but probably none of the inhabitants had ever seen a real Centaur in the woods around Vesuvius. In fact, many were convinced that Centaurs didn't exist. Even though a great scientist of the time, two thousand years ago, claimed to have seen a dead Centaur, embalmed in honey, in the Emperor's palace in Rome. Do you think Centaurs exist?
